Résumé: Edition of the Greek part of BM 1079 (British Library Ms. Or. 6050), a leaf of the same documentary codex as CPR IX 44. Tax list. Hermopolite nome, first half of the seventh century. What we appear to have is new evidence that a tax called the chrysargyron was revived, perhaps by Heraclius, after its earlier abolition at the end of the fifth century.
