sources of the term Hierodoulos and of the other references (the papyri P. Tebt. I,
6; P.S.I. IV, 406; U.P.Z. I, 2 and the literary texts DIODORUS 1, 47, 1 and STRABO
17, 1, 46) demonstrates that all these texts are neither a conclusive proof nor evidence
for temple prostitution in Greco-Roman Egypt."
