5τελευτήσαντος καὶ κατ[α]λιπόντ[ο]ς μοι τὸ
ἐπιβάλλον αὐτῷ μέρ[ος] οἰκοπέδων καὶ
φοινικῶνος ἐν Σκίθι πατρικῶν αὐτοῦ
ὄντων, ὁ τούτου ἀδελφὸς Πανετβῆς καὶ
Θαῆσις Πατερμούθεως ἀνεψιά μου βι-
10αίως ἀντι[λ]αμβάνονται τ[ο]ῦ πατρικοῦ
μου μέρους προφάσει γεωργίας βασιλικῆς
γῆς, εἰς ἣν γυνὴ οὖσα οὐκ ὀφείλω καθέλ-

ἐπιτρόπων περὶ τούτου διατεταγμένα,
15ἐπεὶ καὶ ἄτεκν[ός] εἰμι καὶ οὐδὲ ἐμαυτῆι
ἀπαρκεῖν δύναμαι. ἀξιῶ οὖν, κύριε,
ἐάν σου τῇ τύχῃ δόξῃ, κελεῦσαι γραφῆναι
τῷ τοῦ νομοῦ στρατηγῷ ἐπαναγκάσαι αὐ-
τοὺς τὸ πατρικόν μοι μέρος ἀποκαταστῆ-
20σαι, τὴν δὲ γεωργίαν ὑπό τε τοῦ Πανε-
τβήους καὶ τῶν τῆς Θαήσιος τέκνων γεί-
νεσθαι(*), ἵνʼ ὦ εὐεργετημ(ένη). διευ(τύ)χει.

im Pr]osopitischen Gau. 4 Als [mein] Vater, Herr, starb und mir den ihm zufallenden Teil an Immobilien und einem
Dattelpalmenhain in Skithis, die zu seinem väterlichen Erbe gehörten, 8 haben sein Bruder Panetbês und Thaêsis, Tochter des Patermûthis, meine Cousine von
meinem väterlichen Erbteil Besitz ergriffen unter dem Vorwand der Bebauung von Königsland, 12 zu der ich als Frau nicht herangezogen werden kann gemäß dem, was von den Statthaltern und procuratores diesbezüglich erlassen wurde, weil ich auch kinderlos bin und mich auch nicht selbst
ausreichend versorgen kann. 16 Ich ersuche nun darum, Herr, wenn es Deinem genius gefällt, anzuordnen, dem Strategen des Gaues(?) zu schreiben, sie zu zwingen, mir meinen väterlichen Erbteil zurückzugeben, daß die
Bebauung aber durch Panetbês und die Kinder der Thaêsis geschehen soll, damit ich
die Wohltat genieße. 22 (2. Hand) Lebe wohl.
23 (3. Hand) Ich, Tamystha, habe (die Eingabe) eingereicht. Ich, Dionysios, habe für
sie geschrieben, weil sie die Buchstaben nicht kennt.

2 from Tamystha, daughter of Kenthn[o]uph[is, the son of – – –]kes, from the village
of Thereno[uthis in the Pr]osopite nome. 4 When [my] father died, lord, and left to me the portion falling to him of the buildings
and the palm grove in Skithi, which were inherited from his father, 8 his brother Panetbes and Thaesis, daughter of Patermouthis, my cousin, took possession
by force of my father’s part on the pretext of the cultivation of royal land, 12 which I as a woman ought not to be forced to undertake according to the ordainments
by the prefects and the procuratores concerning this, since I am both childless and am not able to provide even for myself. 16 Therefore I request, lord, if it seems right to your fortune, to order that the strategos of the nome is written to to compel them to give back to me my father’s portion, and
that the cultivation is done by Panetbes and the children of Thaesis, so that I may
enjoy your beneficence. 22 (m. 2) Farewell.
