1  … and construction … of the palace of the Amīr al-Mu'minīn now being built for … months in the present 8th indiction, and having made out the demand notes for these to the people of the separate places, we have sent them to you. 5  Them, therefore, in accordance with the powers given by the demand notes, send .... and hand over to ʿAbd al-Rahmān b. Salmān, who is in charge of the said work; and see to it that you do not send any money composition whatever [but the workman himself?]. 10  Written the 10th Hathyr, 8th ind. (Translation: H.I.
