ἐξοδεύσειν ε[ἰ]ς Τεβτῦνιν τῆι η
ἔκρινα γράψαι. κεκόμικε δέ μοι
5ὁ παρὰ σοῦ ἄμιος (ἀρτάβην) α.
χαριεῖ οὖν ἐκπέμψας ἡμῖν
φακοῦ (ἀρτάβας) β,
τήλεως (ἀρτάβας) β,
τὰ δὲ ἄ[λλα] ἐ[πι]μέλου σαυτοῦ
10ἵνʼ ὑγιαίνῃς.

Mousaios to his brother Menches, greeting and good health. Since I have decided to travel to Tebtunis on the 8th, I have determined to write to you. Your agent has brought to me one artaba of ami. You will therefore confer a favor on me by sending me two artabas of lentils and two artabas of fenugreek. For the rest take care of yourself, so as to keep in good health. Good-bye.
