Summary This papyrus contains two receipts, each acknowledging payments of 20 dr. for poll tax, with 10 ob. as the extra charge, from Ptolemaios, son of Pappos, and his son Melanas. The first receipt (1-8) is for the account of the 23rd year of Commodus; the second (9-13) for the account of the 24th yr.

Condition This light- to medium-brown papyrus is regularly cut at all sides wit abrasions and holes at places. Four vertical folds but no kollesis. (TC)

"Year 23 of Marcus Aurrelius Commodus Antoninus Augustus, Epeiph 6, to the account of Pauni. Have paid for poll tax of the 23rd yr. at Moiris (?): Ptolemaios, son of Papos and Herais, grandson of Onesimos, twenty dr., equal 20, with an extra charge of ten copper obols; and Melanas, his son, whose mother is Sambous, likewise twenty dr., equal 20 dr., with an extra charge of ten copper obols.;And the 24th yr., Epeiph. . ., to the account of Pauni.
