APIS Translation (English)

Year fourteen of Imperator Caesar Nerva Trajanus [---], Pachon 16 at Kerkesoucha in the division of Herakleides of the Arsinoite nome. Noeris, son of N.N., about 32 years old, with a scar on his left leg, inhabitant of Neilou polis, acknowledges to Musthes son of Origenes, about 45 years old, with a scar on his left leg, that he has sold to him a male ass, in good shape, white, not to be returned. He has received the price of two hundred eight silver drachmas by hand and he guarantees. Subscriber of the acknowledging party is Eumeides son of N.N. (2nd hand) I, Noeris son of N.N., have sold as is stated above. I, Eumeides have written for him because he does not know letters. (3rd hand) Registered through the record-office in Kerkesoucha.
