1 Hê[liod]ôros, Sohn des Didymos, des Sohnes des Hêphaistiôn, aus der Phyle der Sôsikosmioi und dem Demos der Althaieis grüßt Stotoêtis, Sohn des Stotoêtis. 3 Ich bestätige, daß ich Dir verkauft habe ein Kamel – männlich, ohne Zahnwechsel, weiß, markiert auf dem rechten Schenkel Sigma und mit einem zusätzlichen Kennzeichen auf demselben Schenkel und am rechten Hals Sigma und auf der Brust mit einem Brandzeichen –, 8 und ich habe von Dir erhalten den vereinbarten Kaufpreis in Höhe von sechhundertachtzig Silberdrachmen, 680 Drachmen, und ich werde Dir gegenüber die Garantie in jeder Form übernehmen.

1 He[liod]oros, son of Didymos, the son of Hephaistion, of the Sosicosmian tribe and of the Althaean deme, to Stotoetis, son of Stotoetis, greetings. 3 I acknowledge that I have sold to you a white male camel, which has not shed its first teeth, branded on its right haunch with a Sigma and a distinguishing mark on the same haunch and on the right of its neck a Sigma and on its chest a burn mark 8 and I have received from you the price agreed upon of six hundred and eighty silver drachmas, (=) 680 drachmas, and I shall guarantee (the sale) to you with every guarantee.
