Introduction

Medical treatise? (P.Murabba'ât 112). A main fragment (1.25 x 0.75 cm) and seven smaller ones. The papyrus is very damaged and the letters very uniform, so that the reading is very difficult. The content is uncertain: this treatise could have dealt with natural sciences or medicine, as some significant terms seem to suggest. The regular handwriting resembles samples from the 3rd-4th cent. AD (e.g. P.Fay. 20), but it could be dated to the 1st-2nd cent. as well; the archaeological context suggests the first half of the 2nd cent.
