- 2019-04-22T13:14:19-04:00 [james.cowey]: Finalized - Ready. I decided not to accept the alternative encoding of Ἰουλιανῶ(ι)
at the end of lin1. The trace of ink under the end of line 16 has also not been encoded
(scarcely possible with what is at our disposal at present)
- 2019-04-18T06:50:30-04:00 [ngonis]: Vote - AcceptText - I agree there is no iota adscript, but I wouldn’t render it as
an abbreviation with iota adscript supplied. || lin5 accentuate ἐπήλθασί (τινες)
- 2018-02-06T03:55:08-05:00 [ThomasBackhuys]: Vote - AcceptText - good correction to Septimius in l. 1; don't treat raised ω in
Ἰουλιανῷ as insertion, alt preferable as there is little ink (sort of a vertical stroke)
on the left below l. 16 likewise, one might refrain from adding it to the edition
unless there is a plausible interpretation. Instead, one might add the spatium between
lines 16 and 17, where the dating formula begins – this could take into account the
lines below l. 16
- 2017-12-08T08:07:23-05:00 [simoeis]: Submit - line 1: I've changed Σεπτιμίωι to Σεπτιμμίῳ, which is clearly legible on
the image of the papyrus. A quick search in the DDb for the form Σεπτιμμι will reveal
other instances of duplicated mu in documents from around the same period (one could
explore whether in some cases we're dealing with the same writer). The purported iota
adscript at the end of the name is actually the initial iota in Ioulianos' name. As
for that name, the original editor printed Ἰουλιανῶι. A glance at the image shows
that the final omega is raised and there is no iota adscript. I have offered alternative
renderings of this, either as an abbreviation with iota adscript supplied or simply
as Ἰουλιανῷ. One could conceivably treat the omega as an insertion \ῷ/ but this seems
unnecessary to me. In line 4 I've added (without attribution because of the trivial
nature of the reading) overstrokes above κβ (these were not printed in the ed.pr.),
and in line 21 I've re-inserted an overstroke above κδ (this was in the ed. pr.).
One final thing, in the photo there appears to be a horizontal line on the right side
of the document below line 16. I do not know how to indicate that the line is on the
right side, so I did not add it.

den ich besitze, zugehörig zu meinem Haus, das sich in dem Dorf Karanis befindet,
