θήλιαν(*) κεχαραγμένην ἐπὶ τοῦ

λαβεν ὁ Στ[ο]τοῆτις καὶ ἀπογράψεται
εἰς τὴν τοῦ ἐνεστῶτος ἔτους τῶν
θρεμμάτων ἀπ[ο]γρ[α]φη(*) καὶ ἀπέχειν
τὸν Πανεφρέμμιν τὰς λοιπὰς
20τῆς τειμῆς(*) ἀργ(υρίου) (δραχμὰς) ἑκατὸν καὶ παρέ-
ξεται τὸν [Ἀ]μμώνιο[ν] εὐδοκοῦντ[α]
τῇδε τῇ πράσει καὶ β[ε]βαιώσει πάσῃ [βε-]
βαιώσει. ἔγρ(αψεν)(*) ὑπὲρ αὐτοῦ φαμένου
μὴ εἰδ[έ]ναι γράμματα Ἡρακλείδης

30θήλιαν(*), ο[ὗ] τὸ σημεῖον
πρόκιται, ὃν καὶ ἀπογρ(άψεται) ὁ Στο-
τοῆτις καὶ ἀπέχω τὰς λοιπὰς τῆς
τιμῆς ἀ[ργ](υρίου) (δραχμὰς) ἑκατόν , καθὼς π(ρόκειται).

Augustus Pius, am 10. Tybi. Durch die Bank des Sarapiôn beim Gymnasion. 5 Sto[t]oêtis, Sohn des Stotoêtis, des Sohnes des Stotoêtis, aus dem Dorf Soknopaiû
Nêsos (bestätigt) dem A[m]mô[n]ios, Sohn des Hôrigenês, des Sohnes des Hêrakleidês, aus der Phyle der S[ô]sikosmeioi und dem Demos der Althaieis, 9 (vertreten) durch den Sachverwalter Pan[e]phremmis, Sohn des Satabûs, des Sohnes des Satabûs, aus dem Dorf Soknopaiû Nêsos,
ungefähr 30 Jahre (alt), Narbe am ersten Finger der linken Hand, 12 daß er verkauft hat dem Stotoêtis ein Kamel – weiblich, markiert auf dem rechten Schenkel I Ny Êta –, das St[o]toêtis empfangen hat und zur Viehmeldung des gegenwärtigen Jahres melden wird, 18 und daß Panephremmis die restlichen einhundert Silberdrachmen des Kaufpreises erhalten hat. Und er (sc. Panephremmis) wird dafür Sorge tragen, daß [A]mmônio[s] den Kaufvertrag anerkennt,
und er wird die Garantie in jeder Form übernehmen. 23 Geschrieben hat (die nachfolgende Quittung) für ihn (sc. Ammônios), weil er angibt, die Buchstaben nicht zu kennen, Hêrakleidês, Sohn des Isidôros. 25 (2. Hand) Ich, A[mm]ônios, Sohn des Hôrigenês, des Sohnes des Hêrakleidês, aus der Phyle der Sôsikosmioi und dem Demos der Althaieis, habe durch den Sachverwalter Panephremm[i]s das weibliche Kamel, dessen Zeichen oben erwähnt ist und das Stotoêtis
melden wird, 32 und ich habe die restlichen einhundert Silberdrachmen des Kaufpreises empfangen, wie voransteht.
34 Ich, Hêrakleidês, Sohn des Isidô[ros], habe für ihn als Analphabeten geschreiben.

Tybi 10, through the Gymnasium bank of Sarapion. 5 Sto[t]oetis, son of Stotoetis, the son of Stotoetis, from the village of Soknopaiou
Nesos, (acknowledges) to A[m]mo[n]ios, son of Horigenes, the son of Herakleides, of
the S[o]sicosmian tribe and of the Althaean deme, 9 through his agent Pan[e]phremmis, son of Stabous, the son of Satabous, from the village of Soknopaiou
Nesos about 30 years old, with a scar on the first finger of his left hand, 12 that he has sold to the said Stotoetis a female camel, branded on its right haunch I Ny Eta, which the said Stotoetis received and will register for the registration of beasts of the present year 18 and the said Panephremmis has received the remaining one hundred silver drachmas of the price and will assure that Ammonios consents to the sale and will guarantee (the sale) with every guarantee. 23 Herakleides, son of Isidoros, wrote (the following receipt) on his behalf, because he says that he (sc. Ammonios) does not know letters. 25 (m. 2) A[mm]onios, son of Horigenes, the son of Herakleides, of the Sosicosmian tribe and of the Althaean deme, through his agent Panephremm[i]s, I have sold a female camel, of which the brand mark is mentioned above,
and which Stotoetis will register, 32 and I have received the remaining one hundred drachmas of the price, as aforesaid.
34 I, Herakleides, son of Isido[ros], wrote on his behalf because he is illiterate.
