OIM 8335, recto: (1) To Phocion, strategus, (2) from Thonis son of Florus (3) and Ptolema, (4) aged about 35 years, having a scar upon his left wrist, and from Thonis (5) son of Petaus (6) and Taoues, aged about 62, with no distinguishing mark, (7) both of Oxyrhynchus, (8) mummifiers. (9) Today (10) we were commissioned (11) by you through your assistant Heracleus (12) to inspect the dead body (13) of Apis son of Pausis, (14) of the said city, (15) and to report (16) the circumstances (17) of the case.
