Inv. Id | O.I. 12030 b |
Support/Dimensions | paper ; 21.0 x 30.5 cm |
Condition | The 3 leaves are glued together for binding. The lower outer corners are worn away. The paper, originally glossy and white, is now spotted and discolored. |
Lines | 3 folios |
Recto/Verso | Source of description: On recto and verso: Qur'an |
Hands | Because these folios were so similar to O.I. 12030 a, they became associated with that manuscript. Close examination, however, proves them to belong to a different Qur'an, in which the script was not as carefully executed. The 3 thuluth lines are more crowded and the naskhi lines are in a little larger and heavier hand. The ink, too, is lighter. Double circles are used for verse endings. |
