Inv. Id | P.Mich.inv. 843 |
Support/Dimensions | 1 papyrus ; 21.6 x 28 cm |
Condition | Badly mutilated papyrus in a bad condition; broken off at all sides; both spaces between the upper edge and first line on one hand and the last line and lower edge on the other hand allows to think that those margins are preserved; there are some dark blots of dirt at the right; the papyrus is extendly damaged at the middle and a big portion is lost at the left to top. |
Lines | Recto:21;Verso: 20 |
Recto/Verso | Source of description: Recto + Verso |
Hands | Recto is written along the fibers in medium-sized cursive in black ink with ligatures; practiced business hand; the preserved text is consists of three columns with almost even intercolumniations and interlinear spaces. It seems that verso is written in the same hand with different pen; the interlinear spaces are inconsistent, they are larger at the top from the bottom; the upper and lower margin are preserved; there are no stichometry, paragraphos or other diacritical marks on both recto and verso. |
