Title Order from the Amir Concerning the Delivery of Grapes

Summary In this letter of which only the top half is preserved, N��jid b. Muslim reports on a letter he received from the amir ordering him to forward to him some specific grapes. He therefore asks ìAbd All��h to send to the amir all the grapes that the villagers have brought him. Support/Dimensions 1 papyrus ; 22 x 12.5 cm
Condition Light brown papyrus written in a thin pen with black ink perpendicular to the fibers on Recto, parallel to the fibers on Verso. The original cutting lines have been preserved at the top, left and right sides. The end of the papyrus is broken off, and there are two large holes and several smaller holes in the papyrus. On the left side one fiber had broken off in antiquity, the writing continuing on the back of the horizontal fibers of Verso.

Hands There are some diacritical dots and many ink spots that could be mistaken for diacritics. F���� is written with a dot under the letter (l. 3 fa-inni; l. 6 adfaì); q��f with one dot over the letter (l. 7 bi-l-qiy��m).
