<summary>The papyrus is complete in its outer dimensions, but is considerably damaged in the lower half. The writing-in a clear, medium-sized, slightly slanting cursive- is in three columns. The surface of Column I is badly abraded. In Columns II and III, on the other hand, the damage to the papyrus has caused no loss of written text, which is confined to the upper third of the sheet. In Columns I-II are listed payments of barley made by a group of individuals (members of a pittakion?) during Mesore 12-16. Colunm III lists money payments made by the same persons on Mesore I3.Since the only caption is that which at the head of Column I identifies the document as an "Account of Collection of Barley", we are probably to understand that these tax payments were made partly in kind and partly through adaeratio, which is recorded in contemporary documents at the rate of1000 drachmas per artab (cf. PCair Isid 58, introd.). On the date of this account see the intr. to 12.
