Introduction

Medical catechism (PSI 15.1510). Fragment (4.4x9.9 cm) from the top of a column copied on the verso (with the papyrus turned upside down) in a slightly sloping semi-literary hand. On the recto, traces of a register (III AD ?, in.). Medical definitions about tonsils (ll. 3, 6 paristhmia, antiades), partly paralleled by Rufus Ephesius, De partibus corporis humani, 20-3. For the catechistic format (erotapokrisis) of ll. 3, 10, cf. Medicalia Online s.v. Catechism. Questions are articulated with indented headings (ll. 3, further marked by a large xi in line below, and 10).
