Introduction
Medical recipes. The fragment (33 x 14 cm) preserves on the recto a documentary text containing three lists of persons (some of them called iatroi); on the verso, a collection of recipes for astringent kollyria. The remedies are arranged in two different columns and separated by blank spaces, apparently without any divisive marks. Despite the poor state of preservation of the papyrus, it is possible to reconstruct almost entirely the texts of an eye-salve of the achariston type (col. I, ll. 8-14; see Andorlini 1981, 9) and of a second astringent kollyrion (col. II, ll. 5-12). The handwriting is a cursive, quite coarse commercial hand, assignable to the beginning of the 3rd cent. AD.
