Introduction
Medical recipe (MPER XIII 5). Fragment (9.9 x 3 cm) of a papyrus sheet broken on the upper and right sides, preserving 5 lines written against the fibers (left margin: 0.3 cm; lower margin: 5.5 cm). Back is blank. The text is roughly written and riddled with errors. The ingredients mentioned probably belong to a prescription against eye-diseases ( Harrauer-Sijpesteijn 1981 , 10 = ed.pr.) or, more simply, to a list of pharmaceutical products ( Marganne 1983 , 250). The handwriting is assignable to the 3rd or 4th cent. AD.
(This papyrus has been digitally edited by Margherita Centenari as part of the Project "DIGMEDTEXT - Online Humanities Scholarship: A Digital Medical Library based on Ancient Texts" (ERC-AdG-2013, Grant Agreement no. 339828) funded by the European Research Council at the University of Parma (Principal Investigator: Prof. Isabella Andorlini). The digital edition is mostly based on the previous editions (H. Harrauer - P.J. Sijpesteijn, MPER XIII 5; corr. M.-H. Marganne, CE 58, 1983, 250). Revised by Nicola Reggiani in the framework of the PRIN 2017 Project "Greek and Latin Literary Papyri from Graeco-Roman and Late Antique Fayum (4th BC – 7th AD): Texts, Contexts, Readers" funded by the Italian Ministry of Research (P.I. Prof. Lucio Del Corso, University of Cassino; Local Research Unit at the University of Parma, coordinator: Prof. Nicola Reggiani).)

Notes
- 5.
It is uncertain if the second letter is α or λ (see the latter's shape at l. 4). The scribe might have started writing χαχ or χλχ, then he realized the mistake and squeezed a λ between the second and the third character, keeping the preceding letter as α anyway. That he wrote χλ̣α̣χ for χαλχ is not to be ruled out completely.
