Introduction

List of aromatised wines. The fragment (12.5 x 9 cm) is entirely preserved only on the left side and the bottom margin. It is uncertain whether it contained a medical prescription or it was used as a memory aid for physicians, whereas less likely it preserves a school exercise collecting a number of terms ending with the suffix -τον (with the exception of οἰνομέλει). The manuscript is written along the fibers in an elegant cursive hand dating from the first half of the 6th cent. AD.

(This papyrus has been digitally edited by Francesca Corazza as part of the Project "DIGMEDTEXT - Online Humanities Scholarship: A Digital Medical Library based on Ancient Texts" (ERC-AdG-2013, Grant Agreement no. 339828) funded by the European Research Council at the University of Parma (Principal Investigator: Prof. Isabella Andorlini). The digital edition is mostly based on the previous editions (ed.pr. = A. Swiderek - M. Vandoni, P.Alex. 36; ed.alt. = J.-L. Fournet - C. Magdelaine, GMP I 15).)
