5προπολειτευόμενο̣[ς](*) τ̣ῆ̣ς̣ Ἀρσινοιτῶν πόλεως ―
Φλ(αουίῳ) Ἀβενναίῳ ἀπὸ ἐπάρχων εἴλης χαίριν(*).
ἀπαντοῦντί σοι ἐν τῷ ἱ(*)ερῷ κομιτάτῳ ἐντέλλομα̣ί σοι καὶ
ἐπιτρέπω κατὰ τήνδε τὴν ἐντολὴν ὅπως ἐπιστολὴν(*)
ἐξακτορίας ἐπʼ ὀνόματ̣ό̣ς̣ μου ἐνέγ’κῃς παρὰ τῆς θιότητος(*)
10τῶν δεποτῶν(*) ἡμῶν α̣ἰωνίων Αὐγούστων, ἐμο̣ῦ̣ ἐπι-
γιγνώσκοντος εἴ τι ἐ̣ὰν ἁπαξαπλῶς ἀναλώσῃς εἰ̣ς̣ τ̣ὴν
αὐτὴν ἐπιστολὴν τῇ σῇ πίστι(*). ἐξεδόμην σοι τοίν̣υ̣ν

[Translation from P.Abinn.] After the consulship of Flavius Leontius and Iulius Sallustius the most illustrious, Mecheir 7. Aurelius Eulogius son of Andrew, prytanis in office, 5 president of the senate of the city of the Arsinoites, to Flavius Abinnaeus, formerly praefectus alae, greeting. On the occasion of your visit to the Imperial suite I instruct and commission you by this power of attorney to procure in my name from the sanctity 10 of our masters the eternal Augusti a certificate of appointment as exactor, and I undertake to discharge all expenses whatever incurred by you on your responsibility for the said certificate. I have therefore delivered to you this power of attorney with my subscription, which shall be valid wherever produced, and in reply to the formal question I have given my consent. 15 I Aurelius Eulogius, prytanis, have delivered to you the power of attorney and abide by all the aforesaid terms.
