Title Receipt for requisitioned palm fronds

Summary Receipt issued by the agent or assistant of an administrator of an imperial quarry to the village of Philoteris for supplying its quota of palm fronds requisitioned for the manufacture of ropes for hauling quarried stones. The two principal points of interest are (1) the ropes, and (20 the quarry.

Hands The writing, along the fibers, and crossing a manufacturer's kollema ca 3.5 cm from the left edge, is in a small, upright, skilled hand using a fairly sharp pen and bright black ink.
