APIS Translation (English)

(1st hand) To Ammonarion, daughter of Syros, from Sarapion, son of Pasis, of the village of Philadelphia. I wish to lease from you for two years, as of the coming 22nd year, the five and one-half arourai belonging to you in the vicinity of the village of Philadelphia from a catoecic allotment, at a rent for the whole of thirty-one artabai of wheat - including the five artabai of wheat I shall receive for sowing - without deduction of risk, with all the labor being incumbent upon the lessee, and upon Ammonarion, one team of oxen. And I shall deliver the rent at the threshing floor in the month of Pauni; and at the expiration of the lease I shall surrender four arourai lying fallow in grass and the remainder after the stubble harvest, with the expenses for public transportation being the responsability of Sarapion, but the costs for the transport animals, the responsibility of Ammonarion, if you agree to lease.;(2nd hand) I, Nepous, have subscribed, as specified.;[Date.]
