APIS Translation (English)

Kronion, son of Zoilos, about 40 years old, with scars on both cheeks, has leased to Tenouphis, son of Orseus, about 43 years old, with a scar on the outside of his left hand, and Kronion, son of Labesis, about 29 years old, with a scar on his nose below his brow, a catoecic allotment of two and one-half arourai, more or less, in one parcel for four years from the fifth year to sow with whatever crops the lessees may annually choose, at a rental for the first and third years of the lease of 24 drachmai in silver a year without seed and a half artabe of lentils, and for the second and fourth years of the lease at an annual rental, including 2 1/2 artabai of wheat as seed, of 15 artabai of wheat in all by the four-choinix measure of the granary of the god of the village. After the time they shall give back the allotment free from all foulness, and the surrounding embankments built up, and the annual rentals in money and kind they shall pay in the month Pauni, and those in kind in the village.
