Note (general) A receipt was first written on the verso of this papyrus, across the fibers, and then obliterated, perhaps with a moist sponge. An almost identical receipt was then written on the recto parallel to the fibers. This second receipt was later canceled with double lines running diagonally across the writing surface, probably after having been used to compile a summary of the payments of the year.;For the date of this text (contemporary to the archive of Ptollas's sons), see PMich VI, p. 101 and 108 (First half of IVth cent. AD, mainly for proposographical reasons); P.J. Sijpesteijn, ZPE 64 (1986) p. 118 (Beginning of Vth cent. AD, for palaeographical reasons - BL VIII, 213); P.Sorb.
