Δίδυμος Ἀπολλωνίωι τῶι
ἀδελφῶι χαίρειν.
εἰ μὴ καθʼ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν προσε-
δόκων σε πάντως(*) ἂν αὐτὸς πάν-
5τα ὑπερθέμενος πρὸς σὲ ἦλθον. οὕ-
τως διʼ εὐχῆς ἐστί μοι τό [σ]ε ἀσπά-
σασθαι. Μύστην ύὸν ἀδελφὸν ἡ-
δέως εἶδον καὶ ὡς ἐνεδέχετο ἐφιλαν-
θρώπησα, παρʼ οὗ καὶ κ[όμι]σαι ελ̣[  ̣  ̣  ̣  ̣  ̣
10καλὰς δύο . πάντ̣ω̣ς̣ [δ]έ σοι κο[  ̣  ̣  ̣ κ]ε-
ράμιον ἢ πέμψ̣ω̣ ἢ α[ὐ]τὸς ἐρχόμενος
ἐνένκω(*) οὔπ̣ω̣ γὰρ ἔρχομα̣ι̣, ἐὰν ἔτι
παρὰ σοὶ μένῃ, ἀσπάσασθαί σε. ἐκο-
μισάμην κεφαλω̣τοῦ δέσμας τέσσαρας .

Didymos to Apollonios, his brother, greeting. If I were not expecting you daily , I would certainly have put everything aside and come to you myself. So strong is my wish to salute you. I was glad to see Mystes, our brother, and I did all that was possible for him. Do you receive from him two fine . . . . I will certainly either send you a jar of . . . or bring it myself when I come. For I shall not come to salute you so long as he remains with you. I received four bundles of leeks.
