τοῖς ἐξειληφόσι τὴν(*) ἑξαδρα-
χμήαν(*) τῶν ὄνων
παρὰ Θοωνις(*) τοῦ Θώνιος.
5ἀπογράφομαι εἰς τὸ ἐνε-
στηκὸς κζ (ἔτος) Καίσαρος
τα(*) ὑπαρχοντα(*) μοι ὄ[νους]
θηλήας(*) δύο λε[υκόχροας]
ἐν τῇ ὑπαρχούσῃ μ̣[οι ο]ἰ-

(Translation: from P.Oxy. 12) To Ariston and Ptolemaeus, farmers of the six-drachmae tax upon asses, from Thoënis son of Thonis. I register for the present 27th year of Caesar the two light-coloured female asses which belong to me at the house belonging to me at the Serapeum at Oxyrhynchus on the south of the Square, and are employed upon my own work.
