πλεῖστα χαίρειν καὶ ὑγιαίνειν.
Ἑρμόφιλος <ὁ> ἀποδ[ι]δούς σοι τὴν
ἐπιστολήν [ἐ]στ̣[ι]   ̣[  ̣  ̣]  ̣κ[  ̣  ̣]μ̣  ̣φ̣[  ̣]η̣ρ̣ι̣
5[  ̣]ερίου, καὶ ἠρώτησέν με γράψαι σοι.
[π]ροφέρεται ἔχειν πραγμάτιον
[ἐν τῆι] Κερκεμούνι. τοῦτο οὖν ἐάν
σοι φα[ί]νηται σπουδάσεις κατὰ τὸ
δίκαιον. τὰ δʼ ἄλλα σεαυτοῦ ἐπιμέλου
10ἵνʼ ὑγιαίνῃς.

1  Theon to Heraclides his brother, many greetings and wishes for good health. Hermophilus the bearer of this letter is (the friend or relative) of ..erius, and asked me to write to you. 6  Hermophilus declares that he has business at Kerkemounis. Please therefore further him in this matter, as is just. For the rest take care of yourself that you may remain in good health, Good-bye. 12  The 3rd year of Tiberius Caesar Augustus, Phaophi 3.
