(Translation: from P.Oxy. 8) From Julius Diogenes to Thonius, wine-keeper, greeting. Give to Copreus, agent at Seruphis, on account of the cutting of the growth of reeds in the past first year and the other pressing work at the farm-stead of Gaianus, 10 jars of wine of the produce of the past first year and similarly 10 jars of vinegar. (Signature of Julius Diogenes.)
