Παυλεῖνος Ἥρωνι τῶι
υἱῶι χαίρειν.
ἅμα τῷ λαβεῖν μου τὴν
ἐπιστολὴν αὐτῇ ὥρᾳ
5ἄνελθε, ὁ γὰρ κράτιστος
ἐπιστράτηγος ἱκανῶς
σε ἐπεζήτησε. οἷός τε
ἦν καὶ προγράψαι εἰ μὴ
ἐπηγγειλάμην σήμερόν
10σε παρέσασθαι(*). μὴ οὖν
ἄλλως ποιήσῃς, μηδὲν
μέντοι θορυβηθῇς,
παραγενόμενος γὰρ εἴσῃ
ὅ τι ποτέ ἐστιν.
15ἐρρωσ(θαί) σε εὔχο(μαι).

Paulinus to his son Heron, greeting. Immediately upon receiving my letter come up instantly, for his highness the epistrategos has made several inquiries for you. He might even have proscribed you, had I not promised that you would be present today. Do not therefore fail; do not be disturbed however, for when you come you will know what it means.
