1  Sokrates to his brother Hieronymos, greetings. By your health and by the Lord Ammon … neither in the quarry … 5  nor in Arabarches many … you will write. I sent for two … Sokrates to take. Please then, send me the ten rings, for … has been brought to me in a letter from Rufus 10  Faustinus along with the runners by the wagon, in order that the sledge can be fitted with runners with a view to bringing down the three-foot blocks and the plates. Before all else I desire that you are well. Greet Maximus and all 15  the stonemasons. Farewell. Pachon 8.
