APIS Translation (English)

Hierakiaina daughter of Herodes from the city of Oxyrhynchus, with her guardian who is her husband Apollonios son of Apollonios son of Aunes, has leased to Heras son [l. 5] of Harmiysis son of Mylon from the village of the Syrians, Persian of the epigone, for the current seventh year of the Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus Germanicus from the property belonging [l. 10] to her near Nesla all the irrigated land, to be sown with radish seed at rent of two artabas of [l. 15] radish seed per aroura as established by rectilinear measure of the land survey. The rent is fee from all risk. The public taxes on land shall be paid by Hierakiaina, who shall also control the crops until she [l. 20] receives the rent. When the lease is guaranteed, the lessee shall pay to Hierakiaina the rent in the month of Pauni of the same year at the threshing floor at Nesla in fresh, [l. 25] clean, unadulterated, sifted radish seed in the four-choinix measure of the lessee in full measure exceeding the standard of Serapis . . . the lessee shall pay to him whatever he owes [l. 30] plus half . . .
