APIS Translation (English)
"To my lady and wife Isis, Psaeis, greetings. Before all else I pray to God for your good health. I sent you two bed spreads, two pounds of purple dye, six baskets, and two towels, by the hand of Moueis. If someone gives you my letter, get from him a jar of olive oil, the donkey saddle and pannier. I salute Arsis. I salute Paulus. I salute Ta.aeis with her children . . . salutes . . . (scattered traces of three more lines)." Verso: "Deliver to my wife Isis, from Psaeis, son of Apa Boreus."
