Summary This papyrus contains a fragment of a letter concerned with small private affairs. The names of both the sender and the recipient are lost. The letter was written in Alexandria. The content of the letter is without importance, but it has in line 2 another example of thyris to designate a wall niche or cupboard.

Condition This dark-brown papyrus is regularly cut at the left and the right; at top and bottom it is torn, though not too badly. Mild damage to the papyrus which has no visible folds or kollesis. (TC)

". . . Persis, the woman who is in there, has the key of your wall cupboard. Otherwise, whenever an opportunity arises, let me know. For I shall not have anyone else who can reliably bring it to Alexandria for me, and so do not neglect it. If you have decided to saty for the festival at your place, send Komon back to me. Herakles was troubling us . . . "
