Summary The text preserves almost complete three receipts issued by a collector of asemon, i. e. silver bullion, for payments made in talents in the months of September, October, and November. In the second receipt the payment also cover a payment for lentils.

Recto/Verso Source of description: Recto
Hands First hand (lines 1-12) are written in a cursive hand with a rightwards slant. Second hand (13-16) is very similar to the first hand and might have been written by the same person. The letters, however, are slightly smaller, and the ink is darker. A possible explanation is that the space available for the second receipt was shorter than that available for the first.

APIS Translation (English)

"There were paid to me, Sarapammon, collector of silver bullion, for September, pending the settlement of the account, four talents of silver = 4 tal., by you, Heras, son of Satrion.;And likewise you paid to me, the same Sarapammon, to the account of the same silver bullion and the price of lentils, seven talents of silver = 7 tal., in the month of October.;And likewise you paid to me, Sarapammon, to the account of the same silver bullion, ten talents of silver = 10 tal., pending the settlement of the account, in the month of November."
