O.AbuMina, 965 (2013/06/03-20.51.05) (archived)   Text entered from edition. I have reasonably expanded the abbreviated name Εὐλογ( ) to Εὐλογ(ίου), which already appears in O.Abu.Mina 130. Any other cognates of the name, like Εὐλογητός, besides being dubious, are unlikely to implement the usual abbreviation of the name Εὐλόγιος. April 25, 2013 13:08

O.AbuMina, 972 (2013/06/03-20.51.04) (archived)   Text entered from edition. The change I have made is the accent of the name Κυρίσσορου to Κυρισσόρου, as it would be in the correct Greek. However, this name itself is problematic and I haven't found a good explanation in the edition. There are many other αππα Κυρις in O.Abu.Mina followed by a patronymic in genitive, and I assume this is the case here too. It is hard to tell what is the patronymic intended, but Ὤρου could be in example. Another possibility is Οσόρου, which could be corroborated by O.Abu.Mina 910, where we find αππα Κυριόσορου. I couldn't find photos of these ostraca to check if it is an "σ" or an "ο" in the name. So, there is an ambiguity, and thus I have only changed the accent. April 27, 2013 15:28

O.AbuMina, 978 (2013/06/03-20.51.01) (archived)   Text entered from edition. The expansion of the "h" symbol is based on the two resolutions given in the edition: ἡμέρα and καμήλιον. I have changed the accent of Ἄνθους to Ἀνθοῦς as the editor himself on p. 50 writes Ἀνθοῦς: father of Menas. As the cases seem to not matter in other texts as well, the nominative is the standard form. April 27, 2013 16:28
O.AbuMina, 979 (2013/06/03-20.51.03) (archived)   Text entered from edition. I have put an accent on Γεώργις. I've also added a "τ" to "Νεσ" -> Νεστ( ), which the editor forgot. April 27, 2013 16:41

I have removed the restoration offered by the author, as he says that it is "exempli gratia", and the underdots in the parentheses. I was also wondering whether the name Ἰσαὰκ should or not be supplied in the apparatus. April 27, 2013 17:40

O.AbuMina, 309 (2013/06/03-20.51.02) (archived)   Text entered from edition. I can't see the reason why the name in genitive βαρβαρίου should start with a small letter. Thus, I have changed it to Βαρβαρίου. The editor explains it as "Ἱω( ) the barbarian (or son of Barbar(i)os)", with the former being odd, in my opinion, in this context and the latter attested in P.Erl.Diosp.1, P.Herm. Landl.1 and P.Herm. Landl.1 (Monastery of Barbarios). April 29, 2013 09:52

P.Pintaudi, 14 R (2013/06/03-20.50.55) (archived)   Text from printed edition. I have added a letter 'o' after the second 'κ' in line 7, which is visible on the photo of the papyrus enclosed in the end of the book. I have also put an underdot under ς in line 11 and ω in line 12. May 15, 2013 09:32
P.Pintaudi, 15 (2013/06/03-20.50.55) (archived)   Text from printed edition. In line 4 I have put an underdot under the second α in ἄλλα, because it appears dubious. May 15, 2013 11:27

P.Pintaudi, 18 (2013/06/03-20.50.52) (archived)   I have inserted a comment that the writing is perpendicular to the main text on the verso side (I don't know if there is another way to do it). It's my publication with T. Derda, so I approve any additional comments that would add more clarity. I had also a problem with [τῷ /*name*/][.?], as the second pair of square brackets wouldn't merge with the first. May 15, 2013 16:11
P.Pintaudi, 17 (committed)   Text from printed edition. I've included in the apparatus the suggestions made by the editor to restore the text. In doing so, I've followed the finalization feedback I received for P.Pintaudi, 16, i.e. the |alt| form for the editorial suggestions. I have added supralinear strokes above numbers κγ (line 5) and ια (line 7), since they are clearly used on the papyrus, as can be seen on the photo. I have noticed an issue with the supralinear stroke above numbers: it sometimes appears too high, almost as an underline in a previous line (is it a bug?). Another issue I'd like to point out is that the last element of supralinear script in line 3 "προ της αγο[.?]" seems to cover the first letter of Ποσει[δωνι -> οσει[δωνι. I don't know how to resolve that problem (is it a bug too?). May 15, 2013 21:44

P.Pintaudi, 31 (2013/06/03-20.50.54) (archived)   Text from printed edition. In line 1 the photo doesn't have any traces of κ in τεσσαρεσκ[αι-] and therefore I've changed it to τεσσαρεσ[και-]. The same goes for line 8, where there are no traces of ι in ἐδανει[σ- and therefore I've changed it to ἑδάνε[ισεν. What's more, the form form ἐδάνεισ- instead of the usual ἐδάνεισεν before a vowel seems grammatically unfitting in my opinion. Therefore, I've preferred to correct it to ἑδάνεισεν and close the square brackets. May 15, 2013 23:48

P.Pintaudi, 35 (2013/06/03-20.50.51) (archived)   Text from printed edition. In lines 13-14 I have restored the phrase περὶ αὐ-|τῶν (a common phrase in this context suggested by the editor) and μεταλημψο-|μένοις, which is clearly the word and any other variants should be rather excluded; this is suggested by the editor and the article in dative plural preceding the word. The editor strangely leaves the two words αὐ- and μεταλημψο- incomplete, though she uses the dash, as if the words would continue in the next line. I've also supplemented the complete name Aὐρήλιος Ἀσκληπιάδης in line 23, which is what the author suggests in the commentary and is most reasonable reading. May 17, 2013 23:12
P.Pintaudi, 37 (2013/06/03-20.50.53) (archived)   Text from printed edition. In line 4 I've proposed a correction of the edition's τῶι with τῷ. The photo shows τωαιδεσιμω with a ligature connecting ω with αι. There is no iota adscriptum, in my opinion. May 20, 2013 09:12

P.Pintaudi, 40 (committed)   Text from printed edition. I've created an apparatus regularization for τρεία in line 5, which the editor omitted (though in line 8 he restores the text with the correct spelling to ὀγδ[οήκοντα τρία]). In line 5 there appears to be a significant typo, as the word τέταρτον is repeated twice in the transcription once in the end of the first part of the line and then in the beginning of the second part. The photo is, however, clear. The editor himself uses the number 183 1/2 1/4 in the translation. So, I suppose it's just a typo. May 20, 2013 13:33
P.Pintaudi, 41 (committed)   Text from printed edition. In line 2 I've added an alternate reading offered by the editor (Ψάμμιδι or Ψάμμι). In line 7 I've created a regularization of ἐνκαλῶ -> ἐγκαλῶ, which was omitted. I have also added the alternatives proposed by the editor for the restoration of line 9: or Σεουήρ(ου) or Κομμόδου, as especially the latter is needed in order to justify the choice between the years 183 and 215 in the dating. Furthermore, my understanding is that the editor restores the lines in full, although she uses open square brackets [... , without closing them. May 20, 2013 15:11
P.Pintaudi, 43 (editing)   Text from printed edition. The name variants in line 2 are given by the editor himself. May 20, 2013 15:40
P.Pintaudi, 44 (committed)   Text from printed edition. In line 2 the papyrus has παραμθ (παραμ sign of abbreviation elevated θ), as the editor writes in his apparatus and as can be confirmed from the photo. Thus, in my opinion, παραμ(υ)θ(ίας) should be used here. I wasn't sure what was the best way to enter 1/4 fraction. The editor uses the latin d sign, which I've chosen to follow. May 20, 2013 16:11
P.Pintaudi, 45 (2013/06/03-20.50.53) (archived)   Text from printed edition. In line 2 καμαρῶν is the corr. form. In line 3 the usual form is Κανώπου as the editor writes in the commentary, and thus Κανόπου was regularized. A typo in Στεφανοῦ -> corr. accent Στεφάνου. May 20, 2013 16:46
P.Pintaudi, 46 (committed)   Text from printed edition. Many places are rather doubtful, in my opinion, and I would put underdots (e.g. name Ιωνίνος etc.), but that's the editor's and any subsequent editors' decision. In line 3 I have corrected the form γαμητῆς (such form does not exist) to the correct γαμετῆς. So I assume, it's a typo. May 20, 2013 18:01
P.Pintaudi, 48 (committed)   Text from printed edition. The text needs a serious revision. I have corrected what I could. Line 1 and 2 didn't make sense and, therefore, I've normalized the Greek text after checking the photo and conducting a small research in the PN. Furthermore, what the editor takes for (διμοίρου) in line 1 is actually the ου of τοῦ, as can be compared from line 5. So, there's no (διμοίρου) in the text, in my opinion. May 22, 2013 18:37
P.Pintaudi, 49 (committed)   Text from printed edition. In line 15 (col.i) I've added as alternatives the twon names proposed by the editor Λαυρεντία and Λουκρητία. In line 29 (col.ii) I've removed the accent from Χαριτου and then regularized it to Χαριτοῦς in the apparatus (cf. bgu 2 494, bgu 2 509, bgu 2 560, bgu 3 827, bgu 9 1896 etc.). In line 34 (col. ii) I've changed the accent of the name to Κυρακαλῆς and then regularized it in the apparatus to Κυρὰ Καλὴ, although the editor prefers Κυρακάλη (for the name pattern cf. Κυρὰ Χριστοδότη in line 30 and CPR 1.30-Fr2, where μητρὸς Καλῆς). In line 35 (col. ii) I've added as a possible alternative the name Ταναροῦ following the authors commentary and the possible number of traces in the conjectured name Παναριου, and then regularized it in the apparatus as Ταναροῦς (cf. p.oxy 6 984), a variant of the most frequent Ταναροοῦς, Ταναραῦς (for which see PN). P.Pintaudi, 51 (committed)   Text from printed edition. In line 4 after checking the photo I've corrected Πάσονος -> Πάσωνος, which was then confirmed by a simple search in the PN (Πάσονος no instances btw). In line 6 I've corrected Γεωργ<ί>ου -> Γεωργίο(υ), as can be seen in the photo. In line 8, I've regularized <κ>ελαρ(ί)τ(ου) -> κελλαρίτου in the apparatus. In line 9 I've changed ἐλ(αβομένων) -> ε̣λ( ), as such form doesn't exist and thus the expansion is dubious. In line 11 I've corrected φουσκα(ρίου) -> φουσκ(αρίου), after checking the photo, and regularized the grammar in ἐκ νο(μίσματα) -> ἐκ νο(μισμάτων). The same in line 14 where (ὐπὲρ) νο(μίσματα) -> (ὑπὲρ) νο(μισμάτων). On the verso side, in line 8 I've changed δ(ο)θ( ) Γεωργί(ου) λαναρ(ίου) -> δ(ο)θ( ) Γεωργί( ) λαναρ(ί ), as the case could be dative as well, smth like: δοθέντα Γεωργίῳ λαναρίῳ. Attention should be also paid to line 2 where the number of nomismata is 3 1/2, but in the German translation 3 1/3. May 23, 2013 17:55
P.Pintaudi, 52 (2013/06/03-20.50.51) (archived)   Text from printed edition. In line 11, I've included an alternative offered by the editor in the commentary -> αὖ τῶι. In line 12 I've changed the accent of κἆγωι to the correct κἀγὼι. In line 13 the editor forgot to regularize ἐπὶ -> ἐπεὶ (which is present in the translation). May 24, 2013 13:12
P.Pintaudi, 53 (2013/06/03-20.50.52) (archived)   Text from printed edition. I've regularized in the apparatus μητέραν -> μητέρα and πατέραν -> πατέρα in lines 24 and 30 respectively. May 24, 2013 14:04
P.Pintaudi, 54 (2013/06/03-20.50.52) (archived)   Text from printed edition. In line 3 I've regularized in the apparatus δεσπότῳ -> δεσπότῃ. In lines 5,7,8-9,10,12,13 the strange expression was regularized according to editors suggestions in the commentary. In line 8 Ἠρακλῆ (accent corrected, no need to regularize). May 24, 2013 15:17

P.Pintaudi, 57 (committed)   Text from printed edition. In line 1 instead of the rho-cross symbol a square appears (bug?). In line 8 I've put underdots under the word υἱῶνι, as the editor isn't sure herself (see commentary). I've also marked up the text on the left margin. May 27, 2013 13:02
P.Pintaudi, 58 (committed)   Text from printed edition. I have again a problem with *rho-cross* appearing as a square. In line 5 accent corrected αὐτ[ὼν -> αὐτ[ῶν. May 27, 2013 13:36
P.Pintaudi, 40 (committed)   Resubmission after corrections. June 04, 2013 00:35

In line 36 I've corrected Ἐπικρά(του) to Ἐπικρά(τους) and in line 44 I've regularized the same name in the apparatus cf. Σωσικρ[άτ]ους in line 38. I wasn't sure how to enter the X sign used for checking, and thus I used *check?*. There are problematic readings such as: l. 35 εκ ουσης; l. 58 A.νεφρανωρος; l. 63 αει το σεισμων[ , but I left the edition's readings. December 15, 2013 02:43

Other corrections, all from Lukaszewicz's article, include minor changes, mostly underdots and square brackets. January 20, 2014 15:55

P.Oxf. 16 (submitted)   Changed the ghost-name Ταυριννοηθου in l. 5-6 to Ταυρίνο(υ) / βοηθοῦ upon checking the Plate in the edition. Beta with an acceptable form, not unparalleled. This reading also affects line 1. In line 13, the name has been already corrected to a substantive by E. Wipszycka (see BL). Additionally, I have regularized the preceding article and pronoun (as this is quite obvious, I did not include my name in the correction). October 05, 2021 09:00
