- 2013-01-24T05:47:35.351-05:00 [james.cowey]: Finalized - Ready.
- 2013-01-24T05:47:35.339-05:00 [pheilpor]: Vote - AcceptText - Accept. From the image, all suggested corrections look good, including
reading (ἐνεστῶτ̣(ος)) in line 2, where there is indeed a horizontal stroke above
the omega (and not above the following number); I think I can even see a trace (hardly
more than a dot between holes) of the vertical stroke of the tau; this is the method
of abbreviation expected for this period and this hand. As J. Cowey said, include
BL VI correction for the end of line 1.
- 2013-01-24T05:47:35.32-05:00 [james.cowey]: Vote - AcceptText - Correction to ἔσχ(ον) in lin1 is clear from the image. lin2 I
think that we should read ἐνεστῶτ(ος) with the raised Tau, as suggested. The reading
in lin3 of κλη(ρουχίας) is obviously correct. present the end of lin1 as <:προσφώνησιν
χειρογ(ραφίας)=BL 6.44|ed|προσφώνησιν |(χειρογ|):>. The other BL corrections are outdated
and no longer really relevant.
- 2013-01-11T04:01:47.264-05:00 [simoeis]: Data entry errors: From the image it is clear that ἔσχον in ln 1was abbreviated after
χ. This was overlooked by Frisk in his edition and the error was repeated in the DDbDP
at the data entry stage. In ln4: δ has an overstroke. Proposed correction to ln3:
κλ(ηρο)υ(χίας) --> κλη(ρουχίας), what the editor took as an upsilon, and thus as an
unusual kind of abbreviation for this period, is really an eta (see P.Mich. Mchl.
3.8 for a good parallel). Note on ln2: the line that bisects the descending stroke
of phi in προσφώνησιν may be the horizontal stroke of a raised tau, in which case
one should read ἐνεστῶτ(ος) instead of ἐνεστῶ(τος). It seems less likely that this
stroke was written over the number ιζ. I leave it to the editorial board to decide
if the text as it stands should be changed. BL entries not taken up thus far: BL II,
Data Entry Error
