APIS Translation (English)

Valerius, son of Heron. [[- - -]].;From volume three of the supplementary lists in the administration office of the strategos for the olive crop tax of the 22nd year. Keras, son of Aunes, grandson of Sambas, for a third part of one-half aroura of a date-palm grove: from the amounts deferred for the 22nd year, on account: 12 drachmai, and in the preceding deferment for the 23rd year, 7 drachmai, 1 obol, 2 chalkoi; equal according to the above, 19 drachmai, 1 obol, 2 chalkoi.

APIS Translation (English)

Aurelius Kaetis, son of Neilos and Thaisas, from the village of Theadelphia of the Themistou meris, acknowledges that he has received from hand to hand from Aurelius Hieron, freedman of Aurelius Poseidonios, ex-hypomnematographos of the most glorious city of Alexandria, and however he is styled, the capital sum of one hundred fifty-two silver drachmai in loan for one year from the present month of Phaophi; and Aurelius Kaetis shall of necessity return to Aurelius Hieron the aforestated capital interest-free in the month of Thoth next year without delay; and he (Hieron) shall on demand have right of execution against Aurelius Kaetis and all his property as if in consequence of a court decision; and when formally questioned he (Kaetis) so declared.;Kaetis, about 30 years old, with a scar on the right shin.;Year 4 of Marcus Aurelius Severus Alexander Pius Felix Augustus, Phaophi 15.
