5ἀγορασμοῦ χόρτου γενή(ματος) β (ἔτους) Τιβερίου
Καίσαρος Σεβαστοῦ χόρτ[ο]υ διμνώου
δέσμας χιλίας, (γίνονται) χόρτ(ου) δέ(σμαι) Α. ἔγραψεν
ὑπὲρ αὐτοῦ(*) Μάρων γρ(αμματεὺς) αὐτοῦ(*) διὰ

1  ‘Ptolemaeus son of Leonides, superintendent of the donkeys of Apollonius son of Alexander, to Aphrodisius and Petermouthion, both sons of Asclepiades. greeting. I have received from you on account of the purchase of hay from the harvest of the 2nd year of Tiberius Caesar Augustus one thousand bundles of ... hay, total 1000 bundles of hay. Maron his secretary wrote for him because he writes slowly.’ Date and signature of Ptolemaeus.
