. . . therefore I hand it in and ask that the komogrammateus of Karanis be ordered to come to the fields and restore the old situation or that the persons who made changes . . . take the responsability for the damage in order that I may be able to pay attention to the other fields that I also cultivate and pay the rents. I, Sokrates, son of Sarapion, the aforementioned, have handed it in as written above. Year 18 of Imperator Caesar Titus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Augustus Pius, Phaophi 14.
