    The text is dated to 13 August 584. The editor, K.A. Worp, notes: "we cannot say whether the scribe dated his document to Mauricius' 2nd or to his 3rd regnal year, as 13.viii itself was the dies imperil of Mauricius (...) and as the scribe may have failed to advance the regnal numeral on this very day" (CdE 59 [1984] 141).

    σ[πορ]ίμης γῆς is mentioned as a possibility in the introduction to the ed. pr. (K.A. Worp, CdE 59 [1984] 141), but the agnostic .1[.3]ιμης .3[ was put in the text; SB does not mention the alternative. σ[πορ]ίμης γῆς may be confirmed on the image and would be safe to put in the text as the original reading.
