Summary The text is a receipt issued to Aphthonios, son of Herakion, who was almost certainly an epimeletes annones, by Ptolemaios, official distributor of provisions to military units (diadotes). He acknowledges receipt of 150 sextarii of pickled meat, to be delivered to the numerus Transtigritanorum in the Arsinoite nome.

APIS Translation (English)

"Aphthonios, son of Hierakion, has delivered to the account of the annonae for the Transtigritani stationed in the Arsinoite nome, against the assessment of the fourth indiction, one hundred and fifty sextarii, equal 150 sext., in all, of meat preserved in vinegar. (2nd hd.) Yr. 82 and 51, Mecheir 20. I, Ptolemaios, distributor, have signed this receipt."
