(Translation: from P.Oxy. 9) To Sarapion also called Phanias, strategus of the Oxyrhynchite nome. I, Tithoës son of Sarapion and Ptolema, of Phacusae, corn-lader(?) of the said Phacusae, swear by the fortune of Severus and Antoninus the lords Augusti that I will provide the small boat belonging to me of 150 artabas’ burden for the lading (?) of the government corn whenever the boats collected in accordance with the orders of lading arrive, so as to incur blame in no respect. This bond is valid. And ... sailor Sarapion son of ... of Phacusae. (Date, and signature of Tithoés written for him by Sarapion.)
