- 2018-12-28T07:09:36-05:00 [berkes.lajos]: Finalized - ready
- 2018-12-27T13:58:41-05:00 [ngonis]: Vote - Accept-Straight-to-Finalization - Fine.
- 2017-11-23T09:47:49-05:00 [simoeis]: Submit - I added modern quotation marks in lines 10 and 11. I've also reported two
BL readings, one in line 9 and one in 10. That in line 10, ἐλειδίῳ --> ἐλαδίῳ, I don't
put in the text, but rather note in the app. crit. I'm not entirely convinced by the
argument presented in the article on which the BL entry is based, ZPE 101 (1994) 61-66.
In particular, the statement that such a personal expression (as the ed. pr.'s ἐλειδίῳ)
"is hardly at home in a documentary ostracon" is not convincing. There are many examples
of emotional statements in private letters from Egypt. I am sympathetic, however,
to the author's reasons for looking for an alternative interpretation for these lines.
It hardly makes sense for Grata, the author of the letter, to re-address the issue
of Artimas and the skins at this point. I really can't decide what the better reading
is.
- 2017-06-19T15:31:12-04:00 [simoeis]: Finalized - Made requested changes and regularized πάντες. Also added an overstroke
above mu in ρμ in line 2.
- 2017-06-19T05:45:22-04:00 [j.lougovaya.ast]: Vote - Accept-Straight-to-Finalization - Correction is fine, but also add regularizations
in l. 9, ἐγόγγυσε; in. 10, χορηγεῖν. In line 12 the ostracon has the correct πάντας,
not πάντες of the edition, so change accordingly.
- 2017-06-12T21:58:33-04:00 [TrevorEvans]: Submit - corrected text in l. 10 based on edn.
