- 2018-12-08T19:40:30-05:00 [ngonis]: Vote - AcceptText - I agree with Cowey, and would also leave the text of lin7 as it
is.
- 2018-02-02T10:24:58-05:00 [james.cowey]: Vote - AcceptText - Correction to lin5 is fine. In lin7 I am not sure that between
σαρες and δ there is really enough ink and traces to legitimate "reading" (γίνονται)
(δραχμαὶ). It is clear that we expect (γίνονται) (δραχμαὶ). The rho of the word Καίσαρος
from the line above interferes with the traces. All I see is an oblique descending
line with a horizontal line over it and joined to it (a bit like a tau). In other
examples of (γίνονται) (δραχμαὶ) from ostraca from Elephantine (e.g. O.Berl. 23 and
O.Berl. 24) the strokes used to represent (γίνονται) (δραχμαὶ) are much clearer. I
would like to see a parallel for what is suggested here, otherwise I would be tempted
to suppose that the scribe forgot a stroke for the word (γίνονται).
- 2018-02-01T17:17:11-05:00 [FabianDr.Reiter]: Submit - Slight corrections in ll. 1, 5 and 7, and more precise indication from one
