Summary	An account of expediture for articles all of which are connected with the kitchen. Most of the items fall under the 28th of an unnamed month, but near the end entries are made for the 29th.

Condition	The document on the recto was written on top of a previous document. As such the text is not preserved only at the bottom side. The surface of ll. 7-13 is badly preserved.

Hands	The reading is difficult owing to the fact that it was written over a previous document (a gragmentary third century land register). The letters were in places superimposed without erasure upon those of the earlier hand. The general appearance of the handwriting, a coarse cursive, and the fact that it is a careless palimpsest suggest that it is a rough memorandum of a cook or steward.

For the first alpha, compare the one in ἐλαίου (l. 18); third letter is rather χ than λ: so, I think this reading is nearly certain, even if indeed the second alpha could be dotted (I *think* I can see it as a "Hackenalpha" in superscript to mark the abbreviation, as suggested below by Nikos Litinas, so even the underdot might not be necessary).

The new reading at lin 13 (λαχά(νου)) is plausible (I would not say certain), based on the digital image (http://quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/i/image/api/image/apis/X-3439/C1_94R.TIF/full/large/0/native.jpg); the first alpha is perhaps similar to the first alpha in ῥαφακαι (lin9). The second alpha is (to my eye) not sufficiently clear to escape a dot; for the whole, I'd urge (λαχά̣(νου))(?) , i.e. underdot the first alpha and put a (?) on the lem.
