- 2013-10-29T11:33:48.446-04:00 [berkes.lajos]: Finalized - ready
- 2013-10-29T11:33:48.441-04:00 [simoeis]: Vote - AcceptText - Senior Editor Dieter Hagedorn was asked to offer an opinion about
the correct form of the name Andreas. Here is what he said in an email from 27.10.2013,
"die Entscheidung in dieser Angelegenheit fällt mir nicht leicht. Selbst bei der größten
Vergrößerung, welche die Online-Abbildung hergibt, kann ich nicht genau erkennen,
was auf ανδρε folgt.
des Inhalts „Ἀνδρέα̣ς besser als Ἀνδρέο̣υ“ hinzufügen. Ganz sicher ist in jedem Fall,
daß Ἀνούφ̣εω̣ς „gestorben“ ist." In light of this, I propose adopting Pintaudi's reading
of Ἀνδρέα̣ς. Finalizer, please change (παρὰ) το π(αρὰ). (Also, for the record, the
system failed to save the extensive original submission note, the essence of which
was whether Ἀνδρέα̣ς or Ἀνδρέο̣υ should be preferred.)
- 2013-10-29T11:33:48.434-04:00 [berkes.lajos]: Vote - DEFER - Ἀνδρέα̣ς is certainly a better reading than Ἀνούφ̣εω̣ς, but I wonder
if one could read Ἀνδρέου. The original may be clearer. I'd change ((παρὰ)) to (π(αρὰ))
- 2013-10-29T11:33:48.428-04:00 [james.cowey]: Vote - AcceptText - The delta seems a good reading. The following rho has a large
curve which is not really the same as in other examples of the letter, but certainly
rho is better than phi as a reading. The second alpha is unclear, but as it is underdotted
that is fine.
- 2013-10-04T06:27:21.762-04:00 [simoeis]: My dear Dr Ast, be so kind to register for your Emendation's Bullettin on line the
following note: in PSI V 477 on line 1 : p(ara) Anouphews must be read p(ara) Andreas.
This papyrus is part of a small group (PFlor. III 304; PSI VI 703). I suspect that
the Andreas in PSI V 481, 13 is the same person (but this I will propose in an article
about this group of letters, to be printed in the next Analecta Papyrologica). Of
course I checked the original in the Laurenziana Library.
