(2nd h.) Received in the 3rd year, Mecheir 24. (1st h.) Marres to Menches, greeting. I have appended a copy of the letter from Horos, the Basilikos Grammateus, about the cession which he states has been made to Philonautes son of Apollonios of a holding of 5 arouras in the vicinity of Kerkeosiris in order that you, being informed, may execute its instructions. Good-bye. Year 3, Mecheir 21. Horos to Marres, greeting. I have appended a copy of the letter from Aristippos, superintendent for the assignment (of land) to the katoikoi hippeis. Good-bye. Year 3, Mecheir 19. Aristippos to Apollonios, greeting. I have appended a copy of the petition given to me by Philonautes. Therefore, since my scribes have also reported that the cession has in fact been made to him � (Here the papyrus breaks off.)
